We found two more yesterday, but the plan was to grab five (more on that at the end of this post).
Once again, we took advantage of the fact that we were already out and about. Because Cakelet spends Tuesdays with one of her grandmas in St. Charles, these were convenient finds. It was chilly and windy and rain was coming, so we were planning to move fast.
10. Lindenwood University.
According to Cakeway to the West, Lindenwood is the second oldest higher-education institution west of the Mississippi River. Groovy. Cakelet enjoyed this one. Once her imagination kicks in, it goes crazy. There are knights and griffins painted on this cake. Not sure why, because their mascot is the lions...? And, it was in front of a three or four story clocktower, so, of course, there was a princess hiding up there.
But, sad story. We were planning to meet a friend of mine that works there, but because of some crossed wires, we ended up just as ships in the night. :(

11. Shrine of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne
It was starting to rain, so we didn't stick around long. This one was my favorite of the day - it looks like dogwood flowers against a bright sky. Sounds nice to me. :)

The plan was to grab a few more in downtown St. Charles, but then this happened:
239 to go.
